Raise The Flag in WA

Raise The Flag have just completed a North West Tour of Australia.

The line up featured:

Dave Gleeson    -              The Screaming Jets
Paul Woseen     -              The Screaming Jets
James Morley    -              Ex The Angels
Paul Wheeler     -              Choirboys & Icehouse
Mick Adkins        -              Raise The Flag

After rocking the Mermaid Hotel in Dampier, the band headed up to Broome where they were joined by Perth band Emerald City.
Local music fans and international visitors were treated to a explosive taste of what Australian rock is all about, and they loved it!

From Broome a short flight to Hedland and a 5 hour drive to Newman, Raise The Flag met in the middle with fellow luminaries Dave Tice, ex Buffalo and ACDC’s original bass player Mark Evans and finished off with a monster gig for the Panna Riders at the Newman Bike Show.

Again the boys from Emerald City delivered a rockin’ opening set of originals and covers selling a stack of CD's as a result. Next up was a special treat, as Tice and Evans  delivered a set of Blues based original songs with a serve of classic covers delivered in their own original style which were soaked up by the appreciative crowd.

When Raise The Flag hit the stage the masses were primed and ready to Rock! The guys certainly didn’t disappoint when they delivered a set list of 100% Australian composed classic hits from The Angels,  Billy Thorpe, The Screaming Jets, Rose Tattoo & more.

A major highlight of the gig was the band being joined on stage by Mark Evans to play the ACDC classics ‘High Voltage’ and ‘Long Way To The Top’.  The beaming faces said it all, this was a magic night that people will talk about for a long time to come.

Rock On!
